How to Play Fifty-Fifty
Fifty-Fifty is Kerala’s newest weekly lottery that takes place every Sunday,
with tickets costing ₹30.
There are 12 series of tickets in each lottery which follows the same method as
all the other weekly lotteries. The series start with the letter F, followed by
another letter in one of two batches that alternate for each draw. In one draw
it will be letters A – M (exlcuding I) and then the following draw N – Z
(excluding Q). Then following these letters are six numbers from 0 – 9, and
combined that is your ticket number.
You then just check your ticket number against the table below to see if you
have won. You must match the first, second and consolation tier tickets exactly
to win that prize, but if the final four numbers on your ticket match those in
category three to seven regardless of series then you win that prize.
Prizes
The Fifty-Fifty jackpot is 1 Crore, and then prize amounts get slightly lower
each level down to the final seventh tier which gives a prize of Rs. 100. There
is also the consolation prize of Rs. 8,000 for all the series that matched the
same set of numbers as the top prize.

Claiming Prizes
You have 30 days from the date of the draw to claim any prizes won in the
Fifty-Fifty Lottery. The way you can claim prizes depends on the value of your
win, but you should always make sure you fill out the reverse side of your
ticket and keep hold of your receipt.
If you win a first or second prize, you will need to go the Directorate of State
Lotteries in person. If you win ₹1,00,000 or below, you can visit the
Directorate or a District Lottery Office. Lottery agents can only pay out prizes
of up to ₹5,000. If you live outside Kerala, you must claim prizes of any value
at the Directorate.
As per the Finance Act (Central), income tax and surcharge will be deducted if
applicable; there is a 30 percent tax on prizes over Rs.10,000.
